Dan is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
The work of discernment is core to Dan’s philosophy of ministry. He loves to work with churches in discernment processes partly in order to serve them, and partly because it’s life-giving for him to see God at work in contexts other than his own. Dan holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Graduate Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction from San Francisco Theological Seminary, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the University of Washington. He’s served in a variety of ministerial roles since 1998 and currently serves as the Pastor of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, WA.
For fun, Dan enjoys playing games, hiking through the woods, and occasionally getting out into the wilderness for some sunrise photography. He especially enjoys those things when he gets to share them with his wife and kids.
